Croatia Residence Permit for Digital Nomads — done for you
Croatia is an EU and Schengen country with the mild climate of the Adriatic. The main route for remote professionals is the digital nomad stay permit. Since 7 March 2025 the term is longer: the status runs for up to 18 months, and within that term the permit can be renewed once. Filing is from Moscow, and we guide you all the way to your residence card.

Requirements in 2026
- Remote work for a company or clients outside Croatia: a contract with a foreign client plus proof that the work is done through means of communication.
- Income — 2.5 times the national average net salary; for 2026 applications that is roughly €3,622.50/month (2.5 × €1,449). Each family member adds 10% of the average salary, roughly €144.90/month. Proven by incoming payments from abroad or a bank certificate.
- Passport, criminal record certificate, insurance, an address in Croatia — we support you on every item.

What stays on your side
- Hand over the source documents and accurate details of your situation — from there we do the work ourselves.
- Pay the government fees and third-party services: translations, apostille, notary. These are paid directly and are not part of the case handling.
- Appear in person where presence is required: fingerprinting, the consular interview, signing before a notary.
- Tell us when something changes — address, job, family, letters from the authority: the timeline depends on it.
The legal basis is Croatia’s Zakon o strancima (NN 133/2020, amended by NN 40/2025), with the income thresholds set by Uredba NN 14/2021 as amended by NN 3/2026; the official texts are published in Narodne novine. Applications go to a Croatian consulate or a police administration, and the authority decides. - How long is the status granted for? Up to 18 months, and within that term the permit can be renewed once — the rule since 7 March 2025. Once the term is used up, a new application can be filed no earlier than 6 months later; we'll help you plan the calendar.
- What income is required? The law sets a formula rather than a sum: 2.5 times the national average net salary. For 2026 applications that is roughly €3,622.50/month per applicant, plus about €144.90/month for each family member. We'll calculate the exact amount for your family composition during a free assessment.
- Can I bring my family? Yes — reunification with a digital nomad is expressly allowed by the law. Under the Croatian procedure each family member goes through their own application, so each one is costed separately.
- Does buying property in Croatia give residence? No: the law has no separate ground of property ownership. A land-registry extract helps as proof of purpose within the «other purposes» ground — we'll go through the route at the assessment.
